LUSH Haul

Hello lovelies!

Yes this is another LUSH haul coming your way right now - are you ready?

I had a little time in between my Uni lectures last week and happend to be wandering past a LUSH store and couldn't just walk past, so I dragged my best (male) friend inside.

Since it's getting cooler and cooler outside I figured why not treat myself with some gorgeous smelling bath bombs? The first one I picked up was "Butterbear" - look how cute it is! The lady in LUSH recommended this for dry skin as it's really nourishing thanks to the contained cocoa butter and ylang ylang oil. It smells like vanilla with a slight hint of cocoa (due to the contained cocoa powder). Butterbear was the cheapest out of the bunch with 3,95€.

Up next is "Dragon's Egg" I've seen this one in several other LUSH hauls and just really wanted to give it a go. It actually doesn't look too exciting on the outside, just a plain white bath bomb, but I think there's something colourful hidden inside. This bath bomb has a really fresh citrus scent and contains lemon oil, bergamot oil and there's also some popping candy hidden so I guess I'm in for a surprise! I'll definitely let you know more about this after I've used it. This was 5,95€.

I also got "Phoenix Rising": this bath bomb is a pure beauty, I love the purple and gold shimmer it has. The cinnamon scent is really rich and strong, really luxurious! I can't wait to drop this into my bath tub! I paid 5,75€ for this.

And last but not least I got something christmassy: "Holly Golightly". This looks super festive with all the silver glitter and the holly leaf. This bath bomb is entirely green on the inside though - so it will make my bath water turn into a great colour. I'm a bit scared how to get rid of the glitter in the bath tub afterwards though. It also smells like christmas to me, like clove and a bit of cinnamon! This was the most expensive one I purchased at 6,95€.

Have you bought anything from LUSH recently? Would you like to try any of the products I go?

xx Ann-Kathrin

Tips Tuesday #6

Hello everybody!

Tips Tuesday is back - whoo! I actually haven't really worn any nail varnish recentely because my nails haven't been in the best condition. But last week I was in the mood for something subtle on the nails so I opted for essies "Sand Tropez"!

This is a sandy beige, a great neutral for everyday wear or for special occasions when you want to wear something classy on your finger tips. I haven't worn it too many times yet, but I can't wait to get more use out of it.

Like with all essie nail polishes it's got the perfect brush size and consistency. You'll definitely need a good two to three coats because otherwise your natural nail will shine through. The polish lasts around 2 to 3 days on the nails.

Do you own Sand Tropez? What is a nail varnish you recently added to your collection?

xx Ann-Kathrin

MAC "Oblivion" - Rocky Horror Picture Show Limited Edition

Hello lovelies!

As I mentioned in my September Favourites post last week I absolutely love the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and whilst browsing the web looking for some pictures of the actors today (yep a weird thought but hey haha!) I stumbled upon the rumour that MAC Cosmetics are bringing out a Limited Edition range all about the Frank-n-Furter and co! I looked a bit further and found out that this was true and so the next change I got I popped into the MAC store to ask for the release date.

The lady at the store was so lovely and really helpful, she told me that the release had been pushed back to the end of October. At first I was a bit gutted but she asked to write down my number so she could give me a ring if it arrived earlier! So last week on monday I got the call that the collection will be in on wednesday. I went in the next day and came out with this little beauty! I actually was really lucky to get my paws on it because even though I was at the store 3 hours after opening there were only 4 lipsticks in the shade "Oblivion" left!

Oblivion is a lipstick with an amplified créme finish. I would describe the colour as a blood-red with slight blue undertones. This lipstick is a bright pop of colour and definitely an eye-catcher - I already got lots of compliment when I wore it on a night out (which isn't the worst thing eh?). The formular feels really lovely, it glides onto the lips smoothly and also feels nourishing on the lips.

you can also see my new hair colour and piercing here! what do you think?
As with all MAC products the packaging is gorgeous and sleek but this Limited Edition is clearly a winner! I love how the characteristic Rocky Horror Logo - the lips - was used on all the products from this range. I actually feel pretty special owning such a gorgeous lipstick bullet! ;)

And of course this lipstick also has the typical vanilla scent that all MAC lipsticks have.

Have you seen this collection in stores already? Do you want to get something for yourself? If so what?

Have a lovely day,

xx Ann-Kathrin

September Favourites

Hello lovelies!

Oh wow it's already mid-October now which means this is probably the latest I've put my monthly favourites post  - yet haha! Non the less I want to share with you some things I've been loving throughout the month of September! It's a short one this time because there aren't so many products that really stood out to me this month..

We've all seen it floating around the blogosphere, instagram, twitter and youtube and now I'm also going with the trend of nude lipstick! Kylie Jenner seems to master it with top notes and of course I'm by no means close to her level but I still enjoy a nude lip with a neutral toned smokey  eye! My choice of lipstick is from NaturalCollection in the shade "Fig Leaf".

To keep my lips soft and nourished I've been using the "Labello mint & minerals" from the "pure & natural" collection! I've been using Labello since forever and always love their products! This one has a nice mint taste and is really cooling on the lips.

The L'Oreal ColorAppeal in "153 Metal Plum" is a total bargain from Tescos - I've picked this gorgeous little thing up in the sale for only £1,50 and immediately fell in love with the colour! I'm usually sticking to my neutrals for eyeshadow but this metallic plum shade is just to gorgeous! I've worn this on nights out for a Real eye-catcher!

As I mentioned in my "Life's been busy …" post I've really enjoyed working out! And yep that's a weird one for an usually lazy bum like me but what can I say! I'm working on my fitness not only to loose weight but to get fitter - meaning: not to be exhausted running up a flight of stairs! Also I'm in love with cute gym outfits and trainers - I'm planning to buy a third pair in less than 2 months which is crazy!!

And last but not least my biggest favourite this month has to be movie nights with my girlfriends! I'm usually not one that goes to the cinema very often - I usually watch films much later, when they're already out of theaters haha but over the past few weeks we went to the theater, as well as rented out some DVDs and watched a bunch of good movies. I'd recommend you to watch "The Other Woman", "Sex Tape" and "That Awkward Moment" for a good laugh! I honestly laughed throughout those entire films! And if you haven't already you need to watch "Divergent" - it helps if you've read the book though, otherwise you might feel a but lost in the storyline. And I've also rewatched "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" for the hundred thousands time (probably haha). I just love this film and the songs are so catchy - this also triggered a recent beauty buy which I'll be blogging about next week so keep your eyes peeled!

And that's it - a short but sweet wrap up of my favourite things in September!

What have you been loving last month? Tell me in the comments! And if you have any film recommendations I'm happy to hear those as well:)

xx Ann-Kathrin

Life's been busy...

Hello lovely people!

Where on earth have you been? Yep, it's been a while since I last blogged and I feel really bad about being a rubbish blogger. I know that's probably what every other blogger says, when they take some time off.

Anyways I just didn't get around to sitting down in front of my laptop and type up a blog post. Life has just been crazy busy lately..

First things first: I moved back home to Austria! I spent the past 10 months living in England. After my graduation last June I decided to take some time off before starting university and go and spend some time abroad. It's been a great experience but I'm still happy to be back home and reunited with my family and friends. I'm planning on doing a whole blog post about my time abroad so if you would like to see that please let me know in the comments!

And of course I had to catch up with some friends, meet up for coffee, go for a nights out and so on ... It's been really lovely to see everybody again!

I've also been working my butt off. Summer time always means "Wine Festival time" in my region. Yep it's a traditional festival where most wine traverns open up and sell their wines and food and of course there's always bands playing (which can be horrible sometimes because they like to play Schlager Music - if you don't know what that is: be happy about it haha or just google it ;D). I live in a wine-growing village and nearly every town around it has it's own wine festival, every festival is about a week to 10 days long! I've been working at two of those wine festivals as a waitress and even though it's fun and I enjoy it, it can be quite challenging and tiring (talk about serving drunk or rude people).

I joined the gym beginning of August and have been working out four to five times a week. I never thought that I would say this but it's actually a lot of fun - especially if you have a training buddy! And of course I can't wait to see some results!

I also took an entrance exam for university and got my results this week! So starting in October I'll be studying English and Psychology and Philosophy in order to become a teacher at the University of Vienna - whoooo!

And that's pretty much everything I got up to! I hope you'll take my apology and I'll make sure to be posting more regularly again - after all I really missed blogging!

Please let me know what you got up to this summer! Did you go on a holiday trip? Or did you have a summer job? I'd also love to know what kind of posts you would like to see from me in the future!

Lots of love,

Ann-Kathrin
